Tree City USA

Our efforts are focused on the Tree City USA program of the National Arbor Day Foundation.  The Tree City program sets standards to ensure that a community urban forestry program is comprehensive, high quality effort. 

We first achieved this recognition in 2001, and are working to keep it in years to come. For 2002, Greenville's efforts received the Tree City USA Growth Award for the additional programs added to continue to grow our urban forestry program.

2003 awards will be announced by the summer of 2004.
