Clean Sweep Program
Clean Sweep Has Changed!
Collections will now be located at the Outagamie County Dept of Solid Waste - 1419 Holland Rd Appleton, WI
All participants MUST pre-register by calling (920) 832-5277 option #3
For dates and times, please refer to the Clean Sweep Brochure (above).
The program is provided for households only, business material will not be accepted. Keep individual materials in their separate containers DO NOT MIX! Place materials in lined cardboard boxes and in non-returnable containers.
Items that are labeled as follows should be brought to the drop-off site: Caution, Warning, Danger, Corrosive, Poison, Flammable, or Combustible.
Acceptable Items:
Solvents, Pesticides, Herbicides (including DDT and Chlordane), Rodent baits, Lead/Oil based paints, Dioxin Materials (such as Silvex and 2,4,5-T), Household and Vehicle batteries, Gasoline, Waste oil and Anti-freeze.
Acceptable Items with a charge:
- Computer monitors and components
- 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
- 8 foot fluorescent bulbs
Unacceptable Materials:
Explosives and Radioactive Materials (such as smoke detectors), Compressed Gas Tanks, Containers over 5 Gal in Size, Latex Paint (latex is not hazardous, it can be dried and then thrown away with the can cover removed)
If these dates do not meet your needs, you may bring materials to the Brown County Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at:
- 2561 S. Broadway Dr in the Village of Ashwaubenon.
They can be reached at (920) 492-4950 and have the hours of Thursdays 12:00pm – 6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am – 2:00pm.
