 Committee Objective Statement

Recommend overall facilities to assure efficient, safe and
cost effective services to the citizens of Greenville.

Comprehensive, Community-Focused Solution

Greenville facilities needs are part of a continuous ongoing effort to ensure adequate facilities are in place to provide citizens of Greenville the services they need and desire.  The Greenville Facilities Committee (GFC) established in 2012 is purposed with recommending specific facility improvements and additions which allow the Town of Greenville to provide the services in a safe and efficient manner to all.

The GFC is currently utilizing feedback from Greenville citizens, past facility studies, and recommendations from experienced professionals for determining necessary facilities to support Town services.

Recommended improvements to Town facilities will provide a long-term solution to the Town’s growing needs while being mindful of the cost to taxpayers.

Why is This Project Needed Now?

The Town of Greenville has seen significant growth; almost doubling in size over the last 15 years from 5,963 residents in 2000 to 11,303 residents in 2015.  Although our Town has grown and continues to do so, our facilities have not kept up; that is having a direct impact on residents, services and employees.

To maintain a consistent quality of service the Town has added employees to necessary areas of service to accommodate all citizens.
